A greenhouse gas (GHG) audit or "carbon footprint" report assesses your organisation's contribution to global GHG emissions. Scope 1 emissions cover direct emissions from owned or controlled sources. Scope 2 covers indirect emissions from the generation of purchased electricity, steam, heating, and cooling. Scope 3 includes all other indirect emissions that occur in your organisation's value chain. There are various online tools to help organisations of different sizes and types to undertake a detailed assessment or calculate estimates depending on available budget and data.
