Waste management strategy
A waste management strategy identifies the various waste streams in the organisation and commits to steps to i) minimise waste generation at source, and ii) responsibly measure, store, transport, dispose of, or treat the waste in a way that minimises the impact on people and the environment. A proactive strategy may also identify opportunities where waste products can be a resource to other industrial processes, or where a process or design innovation could eliminate the extraction or production of materials that end up as waste.
