Hazardous chemical handling policy
A hazardous chemical handling policy sets out standards and protocols to protect employees or communities from exposure to hazardous substances, as well as preventing or managing the adverse effects of hazardous substances on the environment. This may include the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), prevention and/or response to accidental spills, specialised storage, monitoring/checking, and, where possible, phasing out or substitution with less hazardous components.
