Climate change mitigation and/or adaptation strate
Climate change mitigation generally refers to efforts by organisations to i) reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions entering the atmosphere by burning less fossil fuels and biomass, or ii) increasing the capture of GHG emissions via carbon sinks, such as forests, soil, mangroves, and carbon capture technology. Climate adaptation refers to investments in infrastructure and services that will increase the resilience of people, systems, businesses, and physical assets to the effects of climate change. For example, infrastructure can be built that is more resilient to unexpected flooding, and different agricultural techniques can be used to adapt to changing weather patterns. Your organisation's mitigation and adaptation strategies will reflect your thinking and activities to address these issues.
